A preventive product recall has been issued today for the following rifles/actions:
• CDX-R7 SHP SA (Sheepdog)
• CDX-R7 SHP LA (Shepherd)
• CDX-R7 LCP (Lite Comp)
• CDX-R7 FCP (Field Comp)
The problem affects only the most recent run of our R7 models.
We have been aware of an issue with the bolt stop not engaging properly when pulling the bolt back in a certain angle/speed on some of the rifles/action models mentioned above. We rapidly found a solution to fix this problem and immediately proceeded with a recall.
If you can pull your bolt back and it comes out of the action without ever touching the bolt stop, then this recall is concerning you.
If you bought one of those products within the last few months, this situation may apply to you even if you did not notice a problem with your bolt stop yet. If you experienced this issue, please get in contact with our customer service department. We will take care of sending you the correct parts or getting your rifle and action sent back to us for repairs.
Keep in mind that you can continue to use your rifle as usual since it doesn’t pose any risk for your safety.
Cadex is committed to provide the best products and the best service to its customers. This is why we want everyone affected by this recall to contact our customer service department so that we could fix this situation rapidly.
