Located in the Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu industrial park (Iberville sector), Cadex is currently looking for an industrial painter apprentice to join our production team.

Job description:

The candidate will perform tasks such as :

• Sandblast and correct imperfections and defects.
• Prepare surfaces (cleaning and masking) before priming and painting.
• Install and hang parts to be painted.
• Prepare paint mixes according to technical data sheets, taking into account the quantity of parts to be painted.
• Paint small parts according to information given on paint forms.
• Ensure paint application is uniform and meets quality criteria.
• Respect drying times required for each application.
• Participate in maintaining the inventory of paint products and accessories.
• Contribute to the improvement and application of painting processes.
• Contribute to the maintenance of equipment and the cleanliness of the work area.
• Be responsible for the renewal, maintenance and proper use of work tools.
• Help support the activities of other departments.
• Be involved in promoting continuous improvement and quality. -Comply with internal and OHS policies and work methods.

Requirements and working conditions

Level of education: Secondary vocational diploma (DEP) (preferred)
Number of years’ experience in the field: 3 to 5 years’ experience

Description of skills:

• DEP in industrial painting or related field (preferred).
• Read drawings and instructions on paint product data sheets.
• Master paint preparation (sanding and masking) and spray application techniques.
• Organized – Autonomous – Assiduous – Methodical and meticulous
• Ability to work in a team
