Cadex is looking for its next CNC Programmer to join our growing team!

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a CNC Programmer to join our team and support operations within our facility, which includes a fleet of 32 CNC machines.

The primary responsibility of the CNC Programmer is to support production by troubleshooting and adjusting CNC programs as needed.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Create CNC programs for part machining based on technical drawings.

  • Define manufacturing methods for each part, considering the appropriate tooling.

  • Optimize programming by grouping similar parts to minimize complex setups.

  • Analyze files, technical drawings, and diagrams to fully understand required specifications.

  • Ensure the quality of programs by guiding production operators and explaining procedures.

  • Program small parts using 5-axis simultaneous machining.

  • Our machining operations mainly involve aluminum and stainless steel.


Job Requirements:

  • Diploma in machining and an ASP (Attestation of Vocational Specialization) in CNC programming, or an equivalent qualification.

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in CNC machining and/or 3-4-5 axis programming (must be proficient in 5-axis simultaneous programming).

  • Solid understanding of geometric tolerance principles.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; strong initiative.

  • Knowledge of Autodesk Powermill (an asset).

  • Familiarity with NCSIMUL software for G-code verification (an asset).

  • Knowledge of Fanuc G-code (an asset).


Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday – 40 hours/week
    (We finish at noon on Fridays!)
