CADEX Responds to Media Allegations Regarding the Presence of CADEX DEFENCE Firearms in Russia

Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu (Quebec), Canada — May 13, 2026 — CADEX Inc. wishes to respond to recent media reports alleging the presence of certain CADEX DEFENCE products within Russian territory. These allegations stem from an article originally published several months ago and recently revisited by a Canadian journalist.

Following the information brought to our attention at the time of the original publication of the article, CADEX immediately launched a comprehensive internal investigation to trace the origin and movement of the firearms in question. This process confirmed that certain firearms manufactured by CADEX appear to have been fraudulently diverted from their intended destination before ending up in Russia, without the authorization, knowledge, or consent of CADEX.

CADEX wishes to reaffirm unequivocally that at no time has the company sold, exported, or authorized the transfer of its products to the Russian Federation, directly or indirectly. Since the beginning of the conflict, CADEX has stood firmly in support of Ukraine’s right to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity against Russian aggression. For several years, the company has collaborated with Western partners and allies contributing to the strengthening of Ukraine’s defensive capabilities and remains firmly aligned with the strategic interests of Canada and its NATO allies.

For more than thirty years, CADEX has maintained a rigorous record of compliance with Canadian export laws, applicable international sanctions, and the control protocols imposed by Canadian governmental authorities and their allies.

Upon discovering this situation, CADEX fully cooperated with the competent Canadian authorities responsible for reviewing this matter. The company also strengthened its verification mechanisms, due diligence procedures, and control measures in order to further reduce the risks of fraudulent diversion within the international supply chain.

CADEX firmly rejects any insinuation suggesting any form of voluntary involvement or negligence by the company in this matter. The information and statements provided by the company since the beginning of this case have unfortunately been taken out of context in an approach that reflects journalistic sensationalism more than factual and balanced reporting of the situation.

CADEX believes it has fully cooperated and communicated transparently with the relevant authorities. The company will make no further public comment on this matter.
