FAQ

Bipod Compatibility for the CDX-R7 LCP Series

Question : What bipod interface is available on the CDX-R7 LCP SA .308, and which bipod should I use?

Answer : The Cadex CDX-R7 LCP SA .308 is equipped with an M-LOK front tube, giving shooters a modular interface for mounting bipods and other accessories. Any compatible M-LOK Picatinny rail can be installed on the forend to mount a Picatinny bipod. Cadex also offers both Picatinny and ARCA bipod options, depending on the shooting setup. For shooters who plan to shoot from a standing position using a tripod, Cadex recommends adding the 12.5-inch ARCA rail and pairing it with the ARCA Falcon Lite Bipod for added stability and versatility.

CDX-R7 LCP 6.5 PRC Action Configuration

Question : Can the CDX-R7 LCP in 6.5 PRC be ordered in a long action?

Answer : The Cadex CDX-R7 LCP in 6.5 PRC is offered as a short action configuration. A long action version of this specific rifle is not available because Cadex does not have an ERT number for that setup. For most shooters, the standard short action 6.5 PRC configuration is the recommended option. It works with the standard 3.055-inch magazine length, and Berger Hybrid bullets perform well within this setup. A custom action and chassis build may be possible with a qualified gunsmith, but magazine selection and feeding reliability would need careful attention.

Lite Strike Adjustable Stock Compatibility with Cadex LCP Chassis

Question : Can a Cadex STKLCP-CTR-RH-SA chassis be fitted with a Lite Strike adjustable stock?

Answer : In many cases, Cadex may be able to fit a Lite Strike adjustable stock to a compatible LCP chassis, but compatibility must be confirmed before ordering.

CDX-R7 FCP vs. CDX-R7 LCP in 6.5 Creedmoor

Question : What is the difference between the CDX-R7 FCP and the CDX-R7 LCP in 6.5 Creedmoor?

Answer : The CDX-R7 FCP and CDX-R7 LCP in 6.5 Creedmoor use the same barreled action. The main difference is in the chassis configuration.

The CDX-R7 LCP features a folding stock, while the FCP uses a fixed chassis setup. The LCP chassis also includes spare screws in the main mid-section where the front tube attaches, allowing for field service if needed. Other than these chassis-related differences, the barreled action remains the same.
